Prayer Request

This past Monday Jean Wishman and Betty Dickerson died.  Please keep them and their families in your thoughts and prayers.  Jean’s funeral was this past Wednesday in Mosinee.  Betty’s funeral will be Saturday, August 23 at 11:00 am here at St. John’s.  May their souls rest in peace.

House Host for One Night

We are looking for 1 home to host 3 people from Friends of the Groom on Saturday night, September 20th.  If you are able to help out, please either call the church office or Father David’s cell.  Office 845.6947 or 432.4685 – Thanks!

 

Kitchen Cleaning!

St. Martha's Guild will meet at 9 o'clock on Sept. 3 to do some kitchen cleaning. It is a study day so whomever can help would be great. Thanks.

Memorial Hall Looks Great!

Again, another big thanks to the Memorial Hall workers!  The hall looks great!  For those who haven’t yet seen the new and improved Memorial Hall, we invite you to stop in and check it out. 

 

GOT GOOD STUFF—DONATE

To help meet the budget, the Talent Shop and Goodwill will have a “Stuff” drive on Saturday, Sept. 20.  Trailers will be at several locations around town where you can drop off the “stuff.”  Start saving things as you clean out your house.  If you want to move “stuff” earlier, call Ruth Schuette and make arrangements to store it.  More on this in September as the drive gets into high gear.

 

150th Anniversary Invitations:

Reminder: Return your RSVP insert for the 150th Anniversary banquet (with your food choice) to the church office by September 8th.

 

St. John’s 150th Anniversary Note Cards

If anyone would like a pack of St. John’s 150th Anniversary note cards they are available at the church office for $5.00/pk.  There are 15 cards and 15 envelopes in each pack.

 

Eucharistic Festival - September 13

Saturday, September 13th 2008 at 11:00 am the Cathedral Church of St. Paul the Apostle, Fond du Lac will hold their 49th Annual Eucharistic Festival.

Check out the bulletin board flier in the Memorial Hall for ways that you can participate in the Diocese of Fond du Lac’s 49th Eucharistic Festival.
